Countdown to Christmas with DIY Jesse Tree

jesse tree downloads

Last year, I really wanted to start some traditions with my family including the countdown to Christmas. But at 39 weeks pregnant, I never made it past the dreaming stage. It was a great Christmas but definitely a transition time.

So, I thought this year would be my opportunity. I want to do the Jesse tree with my family and really take in the meaning of the celebration.

But I don’t really have the funds at this moment to spend on any of these gorgeous Jesse Tree Ornament sets, so I came up with my own collection.

Tonight, Emila hung up the first ornament of the world. I’m hoping we can make it all the way through until Christmas!

I just cut mine out and glued them to circles from brown paper bags. Then I hole punched the top and strung them with red ribbon. So simple, but they really turned out sweet!

We really want to focus this time of year on more than gifts and shopping and parties. We want to teach our kids the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope this works for you and your family as well! Enjoy!
